Do you have a passion for STEM and the ability to inspire our amazing students?
The Academy is growing at a rapid rate and we need high quality teachers to join our experienced team. We have an exciting opportunity to join us on our journey to becoming a great school for the community of Burgess Hill. The Burgess Hill Academy is part of the University of Brighton Academies Trust.
We have gone from 5 forms of entry in 2016 to 9 forms of entry in 2021. We need someone who is passionate about science to join our experienced and settled science team. We also need someone who is also prepared to teach some Key Stage 3 ICT, for which training will be provided, if required.
The Academy is situated in the heart of Burgess Hill on a pleasant 30 Acre site. It is a 5 minute walk from Burgess Hill mainline station with connections to the bustling sea side of Brighton (10 mins) and London (50mins to Victoria). The Town is in the heart of the beautiful South Downs and is a 20 minute drive to the Sea. Our greatest asset is our students. They are fantastic and have the potential to achieve amazing things. We need staff who genuinely believe in the ability of all students to succeed and who want to develop their practice to be the best.
Working with us you would have the benefit of:
- working within an Academy recently classified as ‘Good’ by Ofsted
- joining a high achieving, committed, experienced team
- access to first class CPD within the Academy, the Trust and the University
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and NQTs.
