Do you have a passion for supporting the technical aspects within the Science Department?
We require a dedicated and experienced Senior Science Technician to join our enthusiastic team supporting our commitment to changing the life chances of our students.
Your role will primarily be to support the Head of Department in:
- Coordinating the use of practical resources within the department
- Providing technical support, assistance and guidance
- All aspects of health and safety and legalities relating to the running of the department
- Maintaining supplies and liaising with suppliers
We are looking for someone who:
- Is knowledgeable of health and safety including COSHH within a science department
- Has experience of working as a Technician within a Science Department or related experience
- Has enthusiasm, presence and authority with a positive, can-do attitude
- Is highly organised, motivated and driven to succeed
- Is a team member who will collaborate with colleagues to ensure feedback regarding students is consistent and constructive
