The University of Brighton Academies Trust is the fifth largest academy trust (out of 400) in the South East and South London region. It spans a broad geographical area from Hastings, to Shoreham by Sea to Crawley. The academies in the Trust are in two local authorities (East Sussex County Council and West Sussex County Council) and are supported by a professional services team based in Hastings, Burgess Hill and Brighton. The University of Brighton is the Trust’s sponsor and this close connection allows us to draw on the expertise of the university’s education experts and external contacts – something that greatly benefits our academies and their pupils.
We are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to be part of a centralised finance function. You will either be based at the Innovation Centre, St Leonards on Sea or at our Burgess Hill Finance Hub and will be working as part of a team. The role will be line managed by a Senior Finance Officer and you will be working on processing transactions for all of the Academies within the Trust. We are looking for an individual who has good customer service skills and are pro-active, organised and able to prioritise responsibilities.
