Can you help us to provide a hygienic, safe workplace for our students and staff?

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is the role for you if you have a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach.

We are looking for a Cleaner who has a hands-on approach and a keen eye for detail.  You will have:

  • experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties
  • knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations as they relate to the operation of cleaning equipment and the dilution of cleaning materials
  • the ability to be flexible and act on your own initiative.

The role of cleaner is paramount in ensuring our employees and students are in a hygienic, safe workplace. To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • maintain a clean and tidy environment in both customer-facing areas and employee/student areas
  • operate industrial cleaning machinery
  • collect and remove waste from work areas to collection points as directed​​​​​​​.

​​​​​​​Please note the pro rata salary based on the working pattern is £4,721 per annum.

West St Leonards Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. Our Pride of West Leonards (POW) values run through all that we do; encouraging respect and tolerance and supporting our pupils to become responsible members of our community. We are a National Lead School for the Talk For Writing programme and use the Mastery Approach to teach mathematics. We have two classes in each year group and also host a special facility for up to 12 children with moderate learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
