Single Status Grade 9, Points 23-25, £25,720-£27,784 p.a. pro rata (equivalent to NHS Grade 5)

Following the successful promotion of our current Speech and Language Therapist, we are now seeking to recruit a passionate and committed individual to join our innovative inclusion team. The successful candidate would work in conjunction with the inclusion team to develop provision for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
Expectations of the role:
To provide assesment, diagnosis and intervention to children referred for Speech and Language Therapy including information to school staff, parents, carers and other professionals as appropriate. To line manage the Speech and Language intervention support staff team alongside the SENCO. To be responsible for the impact of Speech and Language and to provide evidence of this impact for accountability.
To provide high quality Speech and Language Therapy to a caseload to ensure outcomes for children, improve and train relevant intervention support staff to deliver on a daily basis. The caseload will be created collaboratively by the Speech and Language Therapist and the SENCO through early screening. To liaise with school staff as appropriate to fulfil the role. To attend Speech and Language supervision. To continue own professional development by personal study and reading and taking part in professional groups. To maintain registration with The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy. To contribute to training and support for teaching and non-teaching staff as well as parents. To provide case studies of impact as directed by Line Manager. To be accountable for the impact of Speech and Language improvement. To support and promote a Speech and Language rich environment throughout the academy.
