Silverdale Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed Teaching Assistant (3). The successful candidate will be working in an environment dedicated to ensuring that 'Learning is for everyone' in a fully inclusive academy.
This is a chance to take the lead on an innovative new intervention across the Academy, using iPads and 1:1 learning apps to help disadvantaged children reach their potential. Guided by our class teachers and the senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to use technology to help boost the attainment of our most disadvantaged learners. With your help, all our learners can become the ‘Ultimate Ninja’ demonstrating the Academy’s key learning behaviours of ambition, courage, determination, dynamism, inspiration and resilience.
Subject to need, you may also be required to cover classes in the absence of the classroom teacher as well as supervise small group work interventions.
The successful candidate should have:
- Good general ICT skills, an ability to get to grips with new technology quickly and an interest in using technology in innovative ways to boost the interest and attainment of learners.
- The ability to create good working relationships to support pupils effectively and promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour.
- A good standard of education particularly in English and Mathematics
