Due to internal promotion, Finance at The University of Brighton Academies Trust is looking to appoint a finance business partner to support the Trust’s academies and leadership in making the most of financial resources. The four-strong business partnering function sits within a finance team of over 15 which is based in St Leonards, Falmer and Burgess Hill. Although the business partnering function has been around for over a year, we seek to be at the forefront in the sector so there is plenty of opportunity to bring ideas and get involved in developments!
The Trust consists of 15 academies, mainly in St Leonards and Hastings but also other locations including Haywards Heath and Crawley. As well as direct responsibility for supporting several of our larger and more complex academies in the Hastings area, there will be the need to travel to various locations in support of cross-cutting activities. As well as proven management accountancy skills such as budgeting, forecasting, costing and analysis, the ability to take the initiative and to form strong relationships with academy staff from the principal down is essential.
