The role of Teaching Assistant is cruicial in promoting the learning and personal development of all pupils, including but not exclusively, those with special educational needs. The main purpose of the role will be working under guidance: implement therapy programmes for indivduals/groups which could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas. To assist in the whole planning cycle and management/preparation of resources. The role is 20 hours per week, working term time only. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant 3 who is confident, committed and can use specialist therapy skills to support the students. You will have:
- knowledge of support strategies for students with C&I needs
- knowldge of SEN Code of Practice
- the ability to demonstrate active listening skills
