Job Description

Working Pattern: Term time only (39 weeks), 32 hours per week
Actual starting salary (calculated pro rata): £18,279 per annum
Salaries are paid in 12 equal monthly instalments

We are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (Intervention)/RIG Manager to work with our SEN and Special Facility students at The St Leonards Academy.  The role will have a specific focus:

  • Exclusion prevention - to support students with special educational needs focusing on behaviour and attitudes.  
  • Attendance - to support students with special educational needs focusing on attendance and safeguarding.  

We can offer a supportive team and the opportunity to make a real difference to the outcomes of students you work with.  The role works across teams and so strong communication skills are key as well as a strong sense of creativity and empathy.  

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Is patient, calm and relaxed with an enthusiastic approach to learning
  • Is confident in running stimulating, fun and educational activities with children
  • Can build and encourage confidence in children, allowing them to lead their own learning when appropriate
