Can you provide a professional and effective facilities management service for our academy?

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to undertake site maintenance, services and compliance. If you can confidently communicate with clients, and lead and manage a team, this is the role for you.

​​​​​​​The role is for 37 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year and is offered on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a reliable and resourceful Facilities Manager to effectively manage and undertake site maintenance, services and compliance. You will have:

  • experience of building maintenance work
  • a sound understanding of the main Health and Safety Regulations, including COSHH and risk assessment, and how they apply in an academy environment
  • the ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills to communicate with a range of clients, both internal and external.

This is an important role in ensuring that a professional and effective facilities management service is provided to staff, students, visitors and customers using the academy premises. To succeed in this role, you will need to:

  • inspect, monitor, record and maintain academy building and grounds maintenance standards
  • lead and manage facilities management staff ensuring that all service requirements are met through agreed Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicator
  • supervise all building, grounds maintenance and external contractors work with strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Robsack Wood is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We promote personal achievement for all our pupils and provide creative learning opportunities so that every child succeeds. Our pupils enjoy an exceptional learning environment including outdoor learning in our Forest School, a large grassed playing field, adjacent woodlands, garden areas and animal areas with chickens and ducks. We also host a nursery for children aged from 3 months.
