Do you have the ability to support children on an individual basis with their learning?  This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in a sometimes challenging but always interesting role working in Key Stage 1 with children in need of additional support with social, emotional or behavioural well-being.  The post includes supporting in class, taking small groups for targeted interventions and supporting 1:1 when needed.  The role will include liaising with parents and class teachers across the Key Stage.

Candidates called for interview will be asked to complete basic Maths and English assessments based on Year 6 SATS papers.  The post is based in KS1 but Staff must be confident to deliver the curriculum to individuals and groups, using the teachers planning and learning objectives, up to year 6.

Desmond Anderson Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in Crawley, West Sussex. Each year we welcome two classes of children to our dynamic, happy school. We utilise our extensive grounds to bring learning to life for our pupils. We have a special facility for up to 20 pupils with autism and a nursery for children aged from 2 years.
