 Do you have the skills to ensure the smooth running of the business aspects of our academy?

Churchwood Primary Academy are looking to appoint a part time Business Manager to be responsible for local finance administration, HR, estates and management of Health & Safety. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal and Finance Business Partner to coordinate and manage the academy’s planning and budgeting process in line with Trust guidelines and timelines, maximizing academy income where possible. The role involves managing HR matters including sickness absence, payroll and recruitment and you will work closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure Health and Safety requirements are met and estates related issues are dealt with effectively.

Churchwood Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex. We are a caring and creative school. With one class in each year group, we are able to guide and support our pupils to achieve their best. Situated in the picturesque setting of Church Wood, our pupils enjoy learning outside the classroom in our forest school, woodland playground and large playing fields. Our speech and language provision is a key strength: we have a Autism Spectrum Disorder unit for Key Stage 2 pupils and a Speech and Language therapist. We also host a nursery for children aged from 2 years.

We hold the School Games Gold Award and the East Sussex Quality Mark for Inclusion.
